La Valen began as a dream long before it became a boutique.
In 2020, during a season when the world had slowed down, I found myself longing to create something of my own. After years of designing for some of the world's most recognized retailers and brands, I felt a calling to build a brand rooted not in a client's vision, but in my own.
As a designer, I have always been inspired by beauty, storytelling, and the way thoughtful details can evoke emotion. My journey has taken me from New York to Atlanta, through Parisian streets and European markets, each place shaping my perspective on style, craftsmanship, and the meaning of home. The warmth and charm of the American South, my upbringing, and my travels abroad all became part of the foundation that would eventually become La Valen.
Motherhood, however, became my greatest inspiration.
As a mother of three, I found myself seeing the world differently. Childhood felt fleeting, precious, and worthy of celebration. Through quiet mornings, family traditions, garden adventures, and everyday moments, I became increasingly drawn to pieces that reflected the beauty of childhood itself—clothing designed to be treasured, passed down, and remembered.
The name La Valen holds a special place in my heart. While I have always preferred to remain somewhat behind the scenes, the name is a subtle nod to both myself and my daughter, Valentina. It represents the connection between generations, the love that inspires this journey, and the childhood memories we are creating together.
La Valen was born from a desire to curate more than beautiful clothing. It was created to celebrate a way of life—one that values quality over quantity, tradition over trends, and meaningful moments over fleeting ones.
Today, we thoughtfully curate heirloom-inspired children's clothing and accessories from brands that share our appreciation for craftsmanship, timeless design, and enduring quality. Inspired by European elegance, Southern charm, and the wonder of childhood, each collection is selected with intention and care.
